Stamford Bridge in Bloom
Community, Conservation and Creative Cultivation
Stamford Bridge in Bloom is open to everyone interested in the historic Yorkshire settlement of Stamford Bridge. We are proud of our village community, its heritage, wildlife and local environment. We are a friendly, enthusiastic and committed team of volunteers, with a wider village membership of supporters and well-wishers! If you are also keen to improve our village then why not join us? We have entered Yorkshire in Bloom over several years. In 2013 we achieved a Gold Award and Best in Category.
As well as regular planning meetings we hold social gatherings twice a year plus other events and fund-raisers. The April AGM is also open to all and an opportunity for discussion and ideas for the coming year as well as an update on recent projects. There is still plenty that could be done to improve our village environment and we have an on-going desire to tackle new projects as time and resources (especially people) allow. To get involved with SBIB events and activities contact firstname.lastname@example.org or post a message on our Facebook group, open to subscribed members and non-members alike as a way of keeping in touch. We also have accounts on Twitter and Instagram
We see the group as a community-minded catalyst organisation, fostering links between village groups and individuals, forging alliances with businesses and organisations that can help further our aims and encouraging family participation through our Junior wing 'The Young Conservers Club'. Activities of the Conservers Club include work parties on our minibeast trail. bird walks, gardening tasks etc. Ask to go on our email circulation for The Young Conservers or the general list for members and supporters email@example.com
