Balloon Tree Wood (summer)

This small piece of woodland lies on the ‘Way of the Roses’ the coast-to-coast cycle route that passes through Stamford Bridge. The path and woodland are looked after by a volunteer group known as York Greenway Champions. The group wants to continue to improve access to the wood as well as promoting wildlife and biodiversity and would welcome help from Stamford Bridge residents. If you are interested in knowing more or in joining us on a work-day please contact us on yorkgreenwayschampions@gmail.co.uk

Following a recent recruitment drive, the First Responder unit wil be operational again this spring.  This is great news for the village.  However, more recruits are still needed.  If you are interested in finding out about how this scheme works and how you could help to provide vital support to fellow residents faced with a life threatening situation, please contact Kiri Frampton or Warren Bostock at Yorkshire Ambulance Service on 0333 1300516 or email responders@yas.nhs.uk

The East Riding Archives and Local Studies Service would like to ask for your help with creating a photographic record for future generations.
