East Riding of Yorkshire Council has apologised for the delays during the recently extended road improvements at Stamford Bridge on the A166. The final stage is replacing the road markings and this will be done overnight and completed by Easter.  The works in Viking Road in Stamford Bridge have also been delayed by the severe weather, but work to replace the old concrete carriageway is now well under way and should be completed by the end of April.  See attached News Release for further details.

Please help to commemorate this occasion by knitting (or crochet) poppies and making a splash of colour in the village.  Attached are knitting patterns and a poster giving further details.

We've heard reports of two vehicles that have been broken into and items stolen from car parks in the village. If you see anything suspicious please phone the police - 999 for emergency, when a crime is in progress, or someone suspected of a crime is nearby. Otherwise ring 101 https://www.police.uk/contact/101/
