This website is run by Stamford Bridge Parish Council.  We want as many people as possible to be able to use the website.  For example, this means that you should be able to:

·         change colours, contrast levels and fonts

Navigation

Using a keyboard, it’s not possible to skip to the main content on a page and it’s not clear where on the page you’re focused.

We have assessed the cost of fixing the issues with navigation and believe that doing so now would be a be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

Links

Links must have discernible text.  Not all link names are accessible by a screen reader and descriptive enough to inform the user where that link will take them.

We will review all our pages and fix these links by 31 March 2021.  When we publish new content we will ensure link text meets accessibility standards.

PDFs and other documents

Many of our older PDFs don’t meet accessibility standards.  For example, they may not be marked up so that they are accessible to a screen reader.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.

We will review documents published since 23 September 2018 by 30 June 2021.  Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
