Viking and Saxon Re-enactors and much more!  At the Old Station Club, 11am to 4pm.  Free Entry!  See attached poster for full details. 

Attention all year 7 girls!  Training is on Saturday mornings 10-11am at Reckondales Fields from 8 September onwards.  See attached poster or Facebook for details.

Please help to commemorate this occasion by knitting (or crochet) poppies and making a splash of colour in the village.  Attached are knitting patterns and a poster giving further details.

    1pm til late.  There will be 10 different beers from local Yorkshire Breweries, York Brewery and Woldtop Brewery.  Pie and peas too.  Alterego will also be performing in the evening.  Come along and get a taste of Yorkshire Ale!

    One of the beers from the York Brewery will be labeled up as RAGNAR and EINAR - see the attached label.  These are the Viking names of the young Viking that died earlier this year from York and Stamford Bridge's very own Tom Wyles.

    Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 pm start.  Bring your own drinks and nibbles.  A varied programme of lively and entertaining music is guaranteed from this very talented band.  Tickets may be available on the door but we advise that you purchase them in advance.  Tickets are £8 each and available from the Post Office from 3 September.

    11am to 4pm. FREE ENTRY. There will be plenty to do and see including: Viking and Saxon Re-enactors, Stamford Bridge Tapestry, historical crafts, local societies, book stalls, fun and games, and our famous Spear Pie competition.  Tea and cakes will be available.  Volunteers and cake makers required!  See p34 of the September edition of The Link for details of the Spear Pie competition.
